Open Enrollment

October 21, 2024 – November 1, 2024 (noon)
This is your once-a-year opportunity to pick your plans or make changes to your existing coverage. The choices you make during Open Enrollment become effective on the following January 1 and remain in effect through December 31.
When you enroll you can:
- Enroll in benefits for the first time
- Change your current coverage, if needed
- Update your dependent information
- Update your beneficiary information
New Employees
For new hires, deadlines may vary when you become eligible for the benefit plans to either elect or waive coverage. You will have an orientation meeting with Human Resources to review all of your benefit options, timing and deadlines.
Evaluate Your Needs. Consider your prior health care usage and select plans and options that fit your lifestyle and needs.
- Take regular prescription medications?
- Anticipating surgery or non-preventive dental care?
- Did you experience a qualifying life event this year?
- Review your current plans to ensure you have the coverage you need.
Review this benefits website to learn about your plan options.
A little bit of planning will help you select the best plans, coverage levels, and financial programs for your unique situation.
Changing Coverage During the Year
Certain life events provide you a 30-day window to elect benefits or change your covered dependents.

- Change in child’s dependent status
- Death of a dependent
- Loss or gain of other health coverage for you and/or dependents
- Change in employment status
- Change in Medicaid/Medicare eligibility for you or a dependent
- Receipt of a Qualified Medical Child Support Order
Remember, dependent verification will be required.
All active employees covering a spouse on their medical plan must complete a Coordination of Benefits Form.
